Where and how do I renew my CBA membership?
CBA Membership renewals are sent out every year on the thirtieth of March. The renewal will be sent by email and by mail. If you wish to mail a check in to the Clearwater Bar Office, please see the instruction on the bottom on the invoice. Renewals in the mail may take up to a week to be delivered to the recipient. If you wish to pay your membership dues online without an invoice, please follow the steps provided:

In order to see your CBA Membership invoices, you will have to select the tab that says "Dues." To view a receipt/invoice to be able to print/save, you will have to click on the "💵" symbol.
How do I join a section or committee?
To become a member of a section or committee follow these steps:
1. Sign into your member account.
2. Return to the home page of the Clearwater Bar Association by selecting the "Quick Links" dropdown and select "Home."
2. Go to the "Sections and Committees" page under the "For Attorneys" tab.
3. Click on the section or committee you wish to join.
4. Click "Join Group" at the top of the page.
How do I become a section chair?
Section chairs are chosen by the CBA president each year. You may contact the president and make your request. The President of the Clearwater Bar Association for the 2025-2026 Bar Year is Attorney Charis Campbell. How do I run for a Board of Directors position?
Nominations for the CBA Board of Directors will be accepted until the first of February of every year. At that time, the nominees are added to the official ballot and will be voted on by the members in the next election. Ballots will be sent out electronically through mail on or before the fifteenth of March. All ballots must be received at the Association office no later than 4:00 p.m. on April 1, or the next following business day (if April 1 falls on a Saturday, Sunday or a Holiday). Do you offer advertising or sponsorships for law-related businesses?

Do I have to be an attorney to become a member?
No, we offer memberships for non-attorneys. Non-attorney or collaborative law members are afforded a majority of the regular member benefits with the exception of voting rights and a few others. For more information or to sign up as an non-attorney member, please click here.
I am not receiving CBA promotional emails or the Res Ipsa Magazine. What should I do?
If you are not receiving our Res Ipsa magazine or emails, please sign into your account and review the information on your profile to ensure we have your correct email and physical addresses. If your information is correct but you are not receiving communications, please call the Bar office at (727) 461-4869.

From this page you will have five rows of options on the left side of your screen to choose from, please select "Payments and History." If you would like to display all of your payment history on either the "Dues" or "Store & Events" then you will have to select the dropdown option next to "Filter by status" and select "Any status." How do I manage my profile?
First you will want to sign into your CBA member account. Once you have signed in, on the top of screen there will be a row with seven options, select the option that say "My Profile." Your profile will appear on the next page and you will have the option to select a button on the right hand side of the screen labeled "Edit." Once you select that button, you will be able to edit any of the information on your profile. The Clearwater Bar Association asks that you please select your areas of practice and opt into the groups that correspond to those areas.
Privacy Settings: How to Change Public Search Visibility?

How do I update my email preferences (email notifications)?

From the dropdown, you will want to select "Account + Settings." From this page you will have five rows of options on the left side of your screen to choose from, please select "Information & Settings." Please have the following check-boxes selected:
Community - Email me when a community event is added
Connections - Email me when I receive a connection invite
Groups - Email me when an event is added to a group of which I am a member
Messaging - Email me when I have unread messages older than 30 days in my inbox
Messaging - Email me when new messages arrive
Additionally, once you have done the steps above, check to see if you have opted-in for the emails from the Clearwater Bar office. To do that, In the top right hand corner of your screen you will see an box that says "Welcome, ___(Member name)." If you select that box and a dropdown menu will appear. From the dropdown, you will want to select "Account + Settings." From this page you will have five rows of options on the left side of your screen to choose from, please select "Profile." On the next page select "Manage Email Preferences" next to "Email Preference." A new window will open up with the options to select "General Correspondence" and "Group Correspondence." Please have both of these boxes checked and select "Save Preferences."
How do I suggest new ideas or vote on current ideas for the CBA?
To suggest new ideas to the CBA you can go through the CBA website or by emailing the Bar office at Clearwaterbar@Clearwaterbar.org. If you want to use the CBA website please see the following steps. First sign into your account. In the top right hand corner of your screen you will see an box that says "Welcome, ___(Member name)." If you select that box and a dropdown menu will appear. From the dropdown, you will want to select "Account + Settings." From this page you will have five rows of options on the left side of your screen to choose from, please select "Content & Features." At the top of the screen there will be a row of options, you will want to select "Feedback." From this screen you can submit new ideas by selecting "Submit New Idea" or vote on current ideas of other members.
How do I set up auto renewal billing and manage my auto renewal membership?
Membership fee's will now automatically renew as of March of 2022. If you pay your membership dues invoice by either e-check or credit-card after March of 2022 then you will opt into the auto-renewal feature. If you would like to cancel the autorenewal, please call the Clearwater Bar Office at (727) 461-4869.

If you would like to receive a physical copy of Res Ipsa, please call the CBA office at (727) 461-4869 or email Clearwaterbar@Clearwaterbar.org. All of our members will receive a copy of the current issue of Res Ipsa Loquitur bi-monthy through email. If you are not receiving the email, please contact the bar office.
Do you rent space in your building?
Yes. However all of the offices are currently occupied by our current tenants.
